Odd Stories: Crocodile Steals Mower.

Sydney, Australia - A 50-year-old crocodile by the name of Elvis stole a lawn mower from a staff member of the Australian Reptile Park.

Billy Collett, one of the three workers taking care of Elvis' enclosure, was charged by the predator. To keep him at bay Collett used his lawn mower. One of the other workers, Tim Faulkner, said “Before we knew it, the croc had the mower above his head. He got his jaws around the top of the mower and picked it up and took it underwater with him.”

After discovering waiting Elvis out wouldn't help anything – he didn't seem willing or likely to let go of his new prize – the park workers came to the conclusion they couldn't let Elvis keep his reward. However they also had another problem on their hands. They needed to recover the two teeth Elvis lost in his battle since they can clog the filter systems.

Faulkner accomplished this feat by tricking Elvis to the other end of his lagoon with kangaroo meat. When he took the bait Faulker, clothes and all, dove into the water, grabbed the teeth, and left with the lawn mower.

When asked about how he thinks his boss will react to the event Faulkner said "I can't lie, the bosses are not going to be happy about the cost of a new lawn mower, but we love it. No one's injured ... and when you get scared and it all turns out to be good, it's actually quite enjoyable.”
