Anchorage – An Alaska police officer
was almost crushed Tuesday by a falling light pole.
Captured on-tape by the car's dashboard
camera, the pole is shown falling from the right before crashing on
the highway.
The pole fell after it was struck by
Dale Cooper, who lost control of his truck, slid across traffic,
entered a ditch, and knocked over the pole.
Officer Rick Dykstra was unable to stop
the car in enough time to prevent running over it.
Both he and Cooper are okay and Cooper
will not be facing any charges.
