Odd Stories: Get a Shot, Get a Ticket

Pittsburgh - Fire Chief Darryl Jones is hoping a judge will show leniency for his firefighters after they got a ticket for parking in spaces meant for city council members.

The fire trucks were parked in the spots for approximately five minutes according to the Des Moines Register.  Mayor Luke Ravenstal says the firefighters were encouraged to get the shots to stay healthy and shouldn't have been ticketed.  The trucks were taken so they could stay on-duty while being given their vaccinations, says the firefighters' union attorney Josh Bloom.
